Christmas Eve at Grandma Woolf's 2008

This was the First Christmas Eve in my entire life I didn't go to my mom's house. It was really hard not to be with my mom for Christmas Eve but I guess that's how it is when your married. My sister had her baby on the 22nd and the baby had to stay in the hospital because she had fluid in her lungs so she couldn't go up either. My mom's husbands kids went up there so atleast she wasn't alone. If I can't be with my own family then there's no other family I'd rather be with. We had a really nice dinner and Renee had lots of fun games for the kids it was a lot of fun. We all had a great time and it was nice that we could all be there with his family. Thanks for the X-mas present Sydney I loved it and needed it. We sure missed you and Scott on Christmas Eve. Thanks Renee for a memorable night!

Wendy's Birthday get away!

At the last minute I decided if I didn't get away from my kids, house and everything else I was going to go crazy or maybe I allready did but this was exactly what I needed just no long enough but it never is! Wednesday the 17th after working until 2:30p.m. I went home and finished packing up the kids stuff so we could drop them off at Grandma Renee's. What a joke that is trying to get out the door at a decent time. By the time we got to Renee's house we were so exhausted we thought we should have just stayed home. Well the whole way there I was pretty onry but after we checked into our room at the Castle Creek Inn I was fine it finally seemed real that we were actually alone. We really only had a few months after we got married before I got sick from being pregnant and then we had a newborn so we really are looking forward to the day when we can actually watch a movie without getting up 50 times, sit at the computer without jumping up every 5 seconds since Kinsley loves the stairs, or have anytime at all to relax. Someday! Any ways back to our night away. We went to dinner at Iggy's since we didn't want to drive around all night and we didn't know where anything was or where we were going. Dinner was great but I couldn't wait to get back to our room and relax. It was a really nice suite they had scented candles lit the fireplace going and it had a jacuzzi tub with a waterfall in it. It had a huge balcony eventhough it was a little too cold to hand out on. The view was beautiful like we were out in a forest covered with snow it was very romantic! The rest of the night you don't want to here about but it was wonderful it just went by way to fast. We got to sleep in a little and then went downstairs to breakfast at the Inn it was yummy. The whole stay was perfect and I never wanted it to end. The rest of the day my kids were awful and I was in the worst mood until we went to Garcia's for dinner with Brandon's parents and Scott it was a lot of fun. I guess turning 31 isn't so depressing after all!

Merry Christmas to all our friends and Family We love you!

Our Christmas card 2008

Renee gave me an early Birthday present and this was it along with a darling Christmas decoration and other pictures of Kinsley. How is it that she always has the best ideas what to get ya. I have been wanting to take Kinsley to get pictures for months but something has always come up and it never happens so this was amazing thanks so much for the wonderful gift Renee and for all you do for us! I've also been trying for weeks to get all the girls together for a picture for our Christmas card but someone was always gone and they didn't want to be in a picture so this was so nice. I really wanted to send out x-mas cards but I was ready to bag it this year so thanks again. We love you!

Slacker

I know I have been such a slacker but honestly who has time to blog between Thanksgiving and Christmas! I feel like I'm rushing from one thing to the next like a chicken with my head cut off and it never stops. Everything this week was fun stuff but I'm just so exhausted and never at home. Thanksgiving was wonderful we went to my mom's for dinner after Brandon got off work around 5:30 p.m. I love Thanksgiving dinner and everything that it stands for. I am so thankful for my life and wonderful family eventhough I don't always show it I love them all very much! This week has been crazy! I thought since I was all done shopping and rapping that we would have plenty of time to relax and do fun stuff but it just isn'y happening. Wednesday when I got off work we drove to Perry to drop off Kinsley and Jada at my mom's and went to Maddox for Brandon's work Christmas party. It was really good food and company and it was good to get out. Then we got home around 10:30 and had to move Makayla's bed out of her room since they were coming to put her carpet in. For those of you that didn't know when we painted her room one of the can tipped over and spilled all over before we even started. It was Fushia so no chance of getting that out. Since I'm so stubborn I didn't want to wait for anyone to get home to move her stuff back in her room so I did it myself. Boy am I paying for that stupidity! That night was our Bunko X-mas party at Corbin's. Almost the whole bunch was there the food was great and a few of us were quite silly thanks to those who ordered the wine. It was a blast! Friday My kids didn't wake up for school so on my one day to sleep in Makayla was banging on my door at 7:45 cuz she missed the bus. You can imagine how happy I was about taking her to school. We did get an exciting call befor we left my sister Katie had her baby girl and we are so happy for her! We need her to send us pictures though! hint hint.... Friday night we went to Renee's for a get together with no kids it was great! Except I really missed my Kins because I had been gone every single night all week. She went all out like usual. Her house was beuatifully decorated and the food was real yummy! She had a great idea for the kids for the twelve days of Christmas and I'll tell you about after we start. Well Kinsley is awake so I better go get her before she dives out of her bed!

Woolf Family Halloween Party 2008

Grandma Woolf's Halloween Party

The day before Halloween Renee had a big Halloween Party and everybody dressed up as you can see from the picture. It was a lot of fun and the kids had a great time. She had all kinds of games, food, and the best HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS HER whole upstairs was decked out with lights a banner and all sorts of fun Halloween decor. When grandma has a party she really has a party and goes all out eventhough she doesn't need to but I think she enjoys it and we definately do! The kids went trick or treating in each room and played lots of fun games. Makayla was so impressed with everything she organized and put together she said Grandma is amazing and she is she can throw one heck of a party! Thanks Renee for all you do. We love you!

Carving pumpkins at Grandma Russell's

Sunday night we went to Grandma's to carve pumpkins and have a birthday dinner for Makayla since she turned 13 on the 24th. I can't believe how the years fly by it seems like yesterday Makayla was so small and she didn't like boys or even care what she looked like. I wish I could get those days back atleast that part anyways! Well anyways back to the carving of pumpkins. It is a tradition in our family to carve pumpkins every year a couple of days before Halloween and we love it. Since the kids are getting older it's especially fun for me because I just get to watch instead of carving. Jada thinks she is sooo big that she didn't want any help at all and she carved hers without even using a pattern. I was afraid she might cut her arm off but we made it through without any trips to the hospital so that was great! The girls pumpkins turned out great and Kinsley and I had a fun time watching. Daddy stayed home sick so we only had 2 pumpkins this year but that's plenty.

Karen's Reception/Party

Well it has been awhile but hey I'm a busy women! Between kids, work, cleaning and everything else I just don't know how I will ever get caught up. Maybe someday when I'm 80 or so I'll have more time for myself and by then I won't want any! One of my best friends got married on the 10th of October and her Party was a blast it was so fun to get together with all the girls and hubbies! We all had a great time and the wedding was beautiful! Karen was so happy she was giddy and she couldn't stop laughing once she started. I wasn't so sure she would be able to get out the words I DO but she did and it was a great day! I will post some pictures I took at the ceremony later. Well I'll catch ya later that's all the time I have for now.

Cherry Hill for Scott & Sydney's B-day

Any of you that know Renee know how she goes way over board for birthdays and special occasions. She had the cutest hats and decorations for their party and the cake was darling too. She really stresses herself out but if you've ever been to one of her parties they are always a lot of fun and everyone really loves all the stuff she does and we know that she just loves doing it! Kinsley really liked the water but after about an hour she got tired and then slept for the rest of the swimming time. The girls had a lot of fun with Sydney's neice and nephew and had been begging me all year to take them there. Brandon and I went on the tube ride and I flipped over on my tube and went under water it was a blast! Especially on the water slides. Anyone who has been to Cherry Hill as a kid knows that the more weight you have the faster you go and we were airbourne at the end of the slide and kept going almost to the stairs at the very end.(Guess we need to loose a little weight) We all had a great time and hope Scott and Sydney had a wonderful B-day we love you guys.

Smile for daddy!

Kinsley was only a few months old so this was a little while ago but it is so flipping cute I had to share it with you. Kinsley loves her daddy and she is his little princess! Brandon thought he wanted a boy until he had this adorable little girl. Every time she hears his voice she turns her head to find him and is smiling and shaking because she gets so excited when he talks to her. She definitely knows her daddy's voice and loves him very much he is the best dad ever! Don't you just love the spitting up and the end. Every time we video her she has to spit up sometime during it!

Jada's 8th Birthday

Well my blogger buddies it's been quite awhile since I've posted anything. Let's just say I'm a little behind.(only about a month though) Jada's Birthday was on the 24th of August which was a Sunday so we had here party the day before on the 23rd. Her Grandma Woolf let her borrow her awesome huge water toy and she was so excited for all her friends to go to her Grandparents house to play in the water! Since no one ever R.S.V.P. to a birthday party I was expecting it to be 3 boys from our neighbor hood or friends from school and Jada. All of the girls just told Jada at school they were coming but she didn't bother to let me know that. She ended up with quite a few kids there and I was a little worried that they would destroy her grandma's new toy. Even with all the crazy wild boys the toy survived and the kids had a blast with that and the water guns. One boy inparticular was so hyper he was a little acting a little weird and then I remembered he was the one who stayed up next to the candy most of the time while the others played. I doubt he went to sleep that night but I did try to warn his mother that he ate a lot of candy but she didn't act surprised!
She got a lot of really nice gifts and was so excited about all the money and gift cards she got. She thinks she's rich now and whenever I tell her we can't do something because we don't have the money she say's," I can pay for it mom I have lots of money." I tried to explain that those are her gifts and she needs to spend them on herself. Everyone had a great time and we really appreciated Grandma and all her work she did to help and for letting us do the party there it was so nice of her.

Island Park

Now this is my kind of camping!

Wednesday the 13th of August we left for a long drive to Island Park. I was planning on having to deal with a crying baby the whole way and I was ready with the Benadryl!j/k To our surprise Kinsley hardly made a peep the whole way and Jada was quite entertained with movies and video games. Makayla wasn't able to go with us since she decided she really wanted to go to girls camp. We had a little bad luck on the way when we stopped for gas and I sat in the car and feed Kinsley while Brandon was supposed to be pumping gas. All of a sudden Renee is outside yelling help and I'm wondering what in the world is going on because she was looking right at our car. My silly husband decided he would go in and get a drink while the gas was pumping and when the truck was full the gas just kept on pouring out and was spraying everywhere. No wonder grandma was yelling. I tried not to get to upset since it was just the beginning of our long camping trip and we were off to a gassy start! I'm sure glad gas is so cheap right now that we can just let it spray all over the ground while the amount just keeps on getting higher and higher. We must be rich and I didn't even know it! Well minutes later we discovered that one of the tires on the trailer with the 4 wheelers was almost completely flat and of course this hole of a gas station didn't have any air. Thank goodness grandpa had his air compressor in the trailer. So much for getting to the camp site before dark. It was extremely hot so while the sweat dripped of Brandon's head while he changed the tire I was thinking this is going to be a very pleasant drive and we were only in Pocatello! Thank heavens my husband is so laid back because I would have been cussing up a storm and been in a horrible mood the rest of the day. He just got back in the truck drenched with sweat and said, "oh well what do ya do?" He is an amazing man and he impresses more and more each day. He is so handy I think he could fix almost anything and he is so easy going I think that's how he can put up with me. Anyways back to the camping trip sorry I got a little side tracked with my wonderful husband! When we finally got there it was almost 9:00 p.m. and getting dark quickly so we had to unpack and set everything up in the dark but the trailer has big lights so it wasn't that bad and Grandpa is really quick getting everything all set up so we could have water and go to the bathroom. Camping now days is almost like staying in a hotel with the mountains just right outside the door. Ryan and Renee's Toy Hauler is so nice equipped with everything even 2 flat screens and a microwave now this is my kind of camping I don't think I'll ever be able to stay in a tent again! Kinsley was the cutest little camper and she was very good the whole time even though on the day before we were going home I think she got a little home sick and she is teething. She absolutely loved Grandpa's Rhino and was so happy every time she got to take a ride on it. We had to pack so much for just her I thought we were going to have to bring another trailer just for all of her stuff! The second night we got their we headed in to West Yellowstone for shopping, dinner and a play. I was a little worried about the play but just like on the drive there I was pleasantly surprised at how well Kinsley did during the play. It was the same one we saw last year and it is very loud and funny she had a hard time sitting still. She definitely kept the people behind us laughing as she moves her mouth back and forth on my chin and quite noisily at that. I was so exhausted by the end of the night from trying to keep her quite and on my lap through the play I was glad we were heading back. Kinsley kept us all laughing the whole way back to camp and she giggled and giggled while I pretended to sneeze and played peek-a-boo. She is such a joy to have around you just can't help but be happy when your with her and she is always smiling. The next day we went on a four wheeler ride which was a lot of fun. Except when we stopped and the hornets tried to get us. By the time we got home I literally had a brown nose and a small beard I looked very attractive to say the least but besides being filthy we all had a lot of fun! Especially Jada who rode in the back of the Rhino with Sydney and uncle Scott driving he gave them quite a ride! Jada thought it was awesome and when I rode behind them even though Jada had a seat belt on I would see her head pop up and I could tell her bottom was not touching the seat and she was loving ever minute of it! We also went swimming and played water volleyball. After that we relaxed in the hot tub it was great! Then Grandpa had his dutch oven cooking night and he whipped up the best ribs and potatoes ever. I didn't even know he could cook! Too bad none of that was passed on to my husband! After dinner we had peach cobbler and it was delicious too. You just can't beat sitting around a camp fire until late just talking and watching the fire! We had a wonderful time and were so glad they invited us to go along. Kinsley was even a little angel on the way home so I guess that made up for our bad luck at the beginning of our trip.

Kinsley's new bumbo and a little bling bling!

Well so much has happened over the past few weeks I don't even know where to start but first of all I will say how grateful I am to be feeling better after my kidney infection that was one of the most painful things I've ever had! Kinsley is feeling much better to and she is so happy and smiley that I can hardly believe that was her what do you people do with crying babies? I thought I would go out of my mind and I guess that's why God didn't give me kids like that because he knows I'd kill them. I just don't have the patience and It's so hard for me to let a baby cry unless they are just being spoiled. Well we decided Kinsley was ready for a Bumbo and she loves it! For those of you who don't know what it is it's the purple little seat in the picture. I never had heard of them until I was pregnant this last time and Brandon said we had to have one just because of the name! She loves to sit there and watch baby einstein or just hang out and she always has a smile on her face when she's in it. After we got Kinsley's shots we decided to get her ears pierced. Brandon said we might as well put all the holes in her in the same day instead of torturing her more that once. Suprisingly she did very well and I really don't think she would have cried at all if we wouldn't of had to hold her head and her arm down that made her very mad but as soon as we let go she stopped crying and we did the other one. She did the same thing so I don't really think it hurt her at all. She just didn't want us holding her down and you can't blame her for crying about that I would to if I couldn't move. They look so cute and my girls were so excited the first thing they both said was Kinsley look at your Bling Bling you are so beautiful and Kinsley smiled. She is really getting to the fun ages is so exciting when they start really discovering that they can do things and play with toys. She is always jabbering and cooing and it's just the cutest thing ever. We sure love our new baby!

So much to blog so little time

Makayla my almost teenager said she hates the family picture from our wedding because she looks stupid and she doesn't look like that anymore. This is true she has changed a lot in just a years time but what she doesn't realize is that I don't look like that anymore either and I want to look like the picture. Well she got her way like usual so until we get a new family picture which I won't until I loose my baby weight! This might be awhile then we'll post this more recent picture of her and her friend Reina dressed up like greek goddesses for a project on the last few days of school don't they look gorgeous!

Cry Cry Crying Kinsley

Well It's been awhile since I blogged but for good reason. We found out why Kinsley has been crying all the time the poor baby had a horrible ear infection and the first antibiotic didn't work so we had to switch to a stronger one. I feel so bad that I thought our wonderful baby girl had turned into a little stinker and was crying for no reason when she was in a lot of pain. It's been quite awhile since I've done this and I promise I'll get better Kinsley. I honestly don't know how people can deal with babies that cry all the time I'd be in the looney bin for sure I definately thought I was headed there this week! Jada started school on Monday and she loves it. Makayla told her that her teacher was mean and nobody liked her so Jada was a little worried, but it turned out all right. It really stinks for Jada since her sister doesn't have to go to bed or get up in the morning and she does but I told her that life isn't fair and that's just how it is. She didn't like that answer very much. Well I guess that's all I'm going to write tonight Kinsley is cry cry crying again and I think she got a little spoiled while being sick she thinks she needs to be held 24/7.

A little about us

I can't believe how much your life can change in just a years time! On November 8, 2006 I met Brandon for the first time and I knew that he was the one from our first date. For all you that knew me well at that time this was unheard of. I had pretty much decided at that point that I was going to focus on raising my girls and worry about finding love later in life when I got around to it. It's so scary to raise 2 girls by yourself and I just couldn't forgive myself if anything would have happened to them and it's very hard to trust people these days. Then Jackie who I will forever be in dept to for setting us up said that I should just go on a date with him and see what happens. Very sceptical about a blind date since they are usually horrible I wasn't sure if I was ready for this but then he called! We talked on a Monday night and he asked me if I wanted to go out on Wednesday night since we were both off work. He was very easy to talk to and I couldn't sleep at all that night because I was so excited to meet him. Wednesday morning I woke up with a fever and Jada had one as well. What luck! He called in the morning to make sure we were still on for that night and we ended up talking for hours. I started feeling better as the day went on and so did Jada so this was it tonight I would meet my future husband.
We went to Corbin's for dinner and it was very romantic I was so worried that we would sit there with nothing to talk about since we had talked the entire day but there was never even a moment of silence. After we called to check on Jada and he said if she wasn't feeling well we could just rent a movie and go home and watch it with the girls. What guy offers to do that on a first date he was definitely a keeper. She was feeling fine so we decided to go to a movie. The choices for movies were pretty slim since I needed to get home at a decent hour so we ended up going to Saw 3. Very romantic I know but it gave me an excuse to hold onto him through the whole movie because I was terrified! I hadn't watched a scary movie for ages. When you live by yourself with 2 girls it's not the best idea. After Our first date I called him the next day when I got off work and he came over that night to meet the girls they completely smothered him but he didn't seem to mind. We spent every minute of every day that we weren't at work together after that and on December 18,2006 my birthday. He sent roses to my work and took me up to the Grey cliff lodge for the most romantic wonderful night of my life and he asked me to marry him.
We had only known each other for 6 weeks and some people thought we were crazy but when you know you just know, and I knew he was the one. After changing the date from August then May and then to we had no idea when. His brother was getting married in June, his best friend in April and his dad would be gone for all of the weekends in May we decided on March 8,2007. This was less than 3 months away and I was totally stressed but with help from our mom's and families we somehow pulled it off. Four months to the day after we met we were married. It was the most wonderful day of my life and my daughters too. The whole day was perfect and the only thing I would have changed were my shoes. Wearing 6 inch heals for an entire day is not fun but it was definitely worth it. We went on a cruise for our honeymoon to Cozumel, Belize, Costa Maya and an island in the Bahamas. It was wonderful and we never wanted to come home except we did miss the girls a little. Brandon is the most amazing husband and father we thank God everyday for bringing him and his family into our lives. He is such a wonderful man and I love him more than I ever thought possible to love someone. My life is finally complete and I am so happy that I waited almost 30 years to find the right one. He was definitely worth the wait!
